inventory in the housing market remaining thin, buyers are still looking to find the house fit just for them. Inventory has been so low that we at the Beltran team have even gone knocking door-to-door to try and create opportunities for our buyers! This year, in the Portland Metro area, the average sales price was $310,800 (up 13.5% from last year)
In Lake Oswego, Tualatin, Sherwood, Oregon City andWilsonville combined, the average sales price was $420,938, which is up 10.5% from last year’s prices. From February through June 2013, homes were getting multiple offers, sometimes THOUSANDS over asking price. Home values are also increasing by about 1% per month on average, and interest rates fluctuate daily.
